Francis House
Individuals or couples who visit The Dwelling Place can request lodging in one of three hermitages: Clare House, Francis House, or Maria House.
Each hermitage is a self-contained, air-conditioned cottage that includes private bath, dressing, sleeping, and living areas as well as kitchen/dining facilities.
Umbria Guest House

Umbria Guest House is designed to accommodate small groups and includes four bedrooms, each with an adjoining bath. The facility includes a spacious living room which lends itself to meetings or other group activities. A fully-equipped kitchen/ dining room and large front and back porches are included.
Our gazebo and pond
The hermitages and Umbria Guest House are surrounded by 17 acres of pine-studded land. The rural setting is secluded, yet easily accessible to main highways.
The natural beauty of the grounds lends itself to meditative walks. A large pond with a sheltered seating area and nearby bridge provides one of many private outdoor spaces for contemplation.
Additionally... visitors may choose to supplement the time spent in retreat by participating in the common prayer of The Dwelling Place staff and their daily Communion service. A lending library is available to interested guests.
Individuals may also either join in one or more meals with the staff and other visitors or bring their own food and prepare it in the privacy of the kitchen provided in each hermitage.
