Capital Fundaraising Campaign
Synopsis of Planning Study Final Report

[Excerpts from the report recommendations]

In light of the study results, C D S offers the following recommendations for the Dwelling Place to consider:

 I. Initiate a capital campaign of more limited scope than originally proposed.

II. The Dwelling Place should consider the following goals for the campaign:

• A Preliminary Goal of $300,000. Funds derived from attaining the Preliminary Goal should be directed toward the site preparation including additional sewage and water considerations.

• A Challenge Goal of $500,000. Achieving the challenge Goal may allow you to erect the shell of the kitchen/dining facility. (You may wish to contact restaurant equipment suppliers regarding the availability of used commercial kitchen equipment.) Depending on gifts in kind and volunteer assistance, the Dwelling Place may also be able to obtain temporary office quarters. We suggest that consderation be given to leasing or purchasing an office trailer until such time that an administration building can be built.

• A Celebration Goal of $700,000. If the Dwelling Place is so blessed as to reach or exceed the celebration goal, the kitchen/dining facility may be able to be completely furnished and a fund started toward the construction of the lodging facility.
